Barwell Parish Council – Replacement Rubber Mulch at the Playground

The Brief:
The Client were looking to replace the wet pour surfacing in the playground with bonded rubber mulch.
Budget: £10,803.00 + VAT
Process:
To supply and lay 105m ² of EN1177 certified Mulchbond to include wet pour wear pads under the high use points.
We allowed to remove and dispose of the existing wet pour 100m² approx 60mm deep and compact the sub-base after the rubber is removed. We have allowed for approx. 3t of type 1 stone to trim up the bases.
The Outcome:
The refurbishment has transformed the playground space and brought a smooth continuous surface to the site with no trip hazards. The natural greens blend in with the surrounding areas and create a lovely new space for children to play.
