The Site:
Chapel en Le Frith High School
The Brief:
The Client were looking to refurbish their existing MUGA with new artificial grass with line markings
Budget: Over £200,000.00
Process:
100m x 60.5m Artificial Grass was laid with 6,050m² of 24mm pile height tufted artificial grass with a sand infill. The pitch included line markings for 1 x full size football, 1 x full size hockey and 3 x 5 aside pitches across the width. We also installed6,050m² of 15mm base rubber shock pad so the pitch offered better safety for the sports options.
The Outcome:
The MUGA has been completely transformed with this new surfacing upgrade. The site is ready and waiting for the students to return and enjoy within their lessons. The new line markings allow for various games to be played either on the whole pitch or split into sections. A great example of how surfacing can uplift an otherwise tired and well used site.
